Becoming a big brother or sister for the first time

Becoming a big sibling for the first time is a massive life change for young children.
Playgroup leaders and family ministers may be keen to recognise the challenge for the children they know and this card offers a perfect way to share something relatable to them to show your support and encouragement.
Cards for children with a new baby brother or sister are available to buy from the site or organisations can use the form below for a free soft copy.
My Baby Sister
"I have a baby sister,
And she looks a bit like me.
Now my family is different
From how it used to be.
She's soft and she's wrinkly,
And she wriggles when you touch
And her eyes are small and crinkly
And sometimes don't open much.
I can let her hold my finger
I can show her all her toys.
I think there's some that I had
(They're the ones that make the noise!)
But she's always needing feeding
Or she's doing a big poo,
And she has so many cuddles
When I want to have them too.
My Mummy's still my Mummy
But she's now her Mummy too,
So I can't do all the things I want,
Or what we used to do.
But I know that she'll get bigger
And there won't be all the fuss;
And then with my little sister
here won't just be me, but US!"
